Senator McGill Slams Accusations of Illicit Mining Involvement as Lies

IPNEWS: Margibi County Senator Nathaniel McGill has strongly condemned the “unfounded accusations and malicious rumors” made by social media commentator Ambulah Mamey regarding his alleged dealings with Chinese miners or businessmen in Gbarpolu County.

McGill made it clear that he has “no involvement with any Chinese miners or businessmen in Gbarpolu County, nor [is he] part of any scheme to hide or sneak them out of the country.”

The senator expressed his frustration with Mamey’s repeated claims, stating that the allegations are “not only baseless but also seem to be part of a deliberate attempt to smear [his] reputation.” Despite the lack of credible evidence, Mamey continues to “propagate these lies, hoping to damage [McGill’s] standing.”

McGill emphasized that the truth is straightforward – he has never had any dealings with Chinese miners or businessmen in Gbarpolu. He challenged Mamey and anyone else with evidence of his involvement in such activities to come forward and present it to the authorities.

“Baseless accusations and rumor-mongering do nothing but harm the fabric of our society and distract from the real issues at hand,” the senator said. He urged Mamey to either substantiate the claims with concrete evidence or “cease [his] campaign of falsehoods.”

This rebuttal from Sen. Nathaniel McGill comes as a response to the persistent allegations made by Ambulah Mamey on various social media platforms.
