IPNEWS: On Tuesday, June 11, the Gender Minister convened a crucial gathering of orphanage heads, stressing their profound duty to maintain humanity’s highest standards.
“It has come to our attention that several orphanages across the country are failing to meet the basic standards of care mandated by law. Let me be unequivocal: if these violations persist, the Ministry will be compelled to take administrative action, including the shutdown of these homes.”
The Minister emphasized the imperative of upholding standards reflecting the innate dignity of every child. She urged orphanage leaders to surpass mere regulatory compliance and cultivate environments conducive to safety and growth.
“We have a commitment to humanity,” Minister Horace-Kollie declared, her words resonating with concern among the audience.
