Liberia: Cedar Lodge No. 14 A.F. & A.M. Unveils Computer Room for Kids At Zion Praise Academy – Children Relief Ministry

IPNEWS: In a heartwarming act of charity and dedication to educational advancement, Cedar Lodge No. 14 A.F. & A.M., under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Masons of the Republic of Liberia, has completed and unveiled a computer lab at Zion Praise Academy orphanage home in Paynesville, suburb of the capital Monrovia.

The dedicated computer lab will provide computer education for 50 orphans with vital access to digital learning tools and resources. The newly built computer lab, inaugurated on the 26th of May, stands as a testament to the Lodge’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities for underprivileged children. 

The dedication ceremony was a notable event, graced by the presence of the Deputy Grand Master of Masons of the Republic of Liberia, Right Worshipful Brother Willis J. Allen, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in bridging the digital divide. Rt. Wor. Bro. Willis J. Allen expressed admiration at Cedar Lodge No. 14 A.F. & A.M. dedication to genuine Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth which are cardinal virtues of Freemasonry.

Deputy Grand Master Allen extended profound gratitude of the Most Worshipful Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother Antony W. Deline, II, to Cedar Lodge for rescuing a generation through education.

The project, spearheaded by the Cedar Lodge No. 14 A.F. & A.M. members, involved months of planning, fundraising, and collaboration with local businesses and volunteers.

The Lodge’s efforts have not only provided essential technological resources but have also inspired a wave of optimism and excitement among the academy’s children and staff.

Making remarks, Worshipful Brother Rawad Zoueini, Worshipful Master, Cedar Lodge No. 14 A.F. & A.M. said: “This project is a testament to the values we as Masons hold dearly. It is a reflection of our strives to do charity, and relief those who are in need. Through this endeavor, we aim to provide the children of Zion Praise Academy with the tools and resources they need to navigate the digital world, enhancing their educational journey and opening doors to a brighter future.” Worshipful Brother Zoueini said that this computer lab is a symbol of Cedar Lodge commitment to education and community support, especially in confirmative with the Lodges ongoing efforts to make a positive impact on society, specifically the children at Zion Praise Academy.

He thanked the administration of Zion Praise Academy for their unwavering commitment to nurturing and educating these wonderful children, hoping that these computers will inspire them to explore, learn, and dream big.

For his part, Sam Kargbo, Director of Zion Praise Academy expressed joy and gratitude for the generous contribution and support of members of Cedar Lodge No. 14 A.F. & A.M.

“This computer room is more than just a facility; it’s a beacon of hope and a tool for empowerment. Our children can now dream bigger and achieve greater heights with the resources provided,” Mr. Kargbo stated during the ceremony.
