IPNEWS: Lofa Senator Momo Cyrus says there will be no mysterious killing taking place again without justice served under the administration of the Unity Party
Senator Momo Cyrus, the man who immediately replaced Steve Zargo of Lofa County at the Liberian Senate, has assured the citizens that there will be no mysterious disappearances without justice served under the administration of the Unity Party.
Senator Cyrus, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Liberia’s premier private security agency, the Security Expert Guard Agency of Liberia or SEGAL defeated Liberty Party’s Steve Zargo in the October 10, 2023 Lofa County senatorial election.
Speaking in the plenary of the Liberian Senate following his induction over the weekend, the private security expert bragged about his 32 years security intelligence he brings to the august body to improve public safety.
The Senate Committee Chair on Security, Veteran Affairs and Intelligence noted that the national security, under the reign of President-elect Joseph Boakai, will go after and find perpetrators of various crimes, investigated and sentenced.
However, Senator Momo Cyrus indicated that the vibrancy of the security sector, particularly the Liberia National Police cannot be felt in the absence of both logistical and financial support from the 55th National Legislature.
Senator Cyrus said the 55th National Legislature cannot expect the police to work efficiently and effectively when the logistical support is not given, and they’re not even motivated to the effect that their salary is not paid on time.
