EU Puts Smile On The Faces Of Liberian Youths, Donates Essential Capacity Development Materials To YARD-Liberia

IPNEWS: A youth capacity development group named and styled YARD-Liberia has hailed the European Union in Liberia for its Support in Empowering Youth with Technological materials.

The youth group as part of its continuous capacity development to the young people in Harbel, Margibi County and Liberia as a whole received a generous donation from the European Union in Liberia(EU).

The gesture by the EU among other things is to aid YARD-Liberia in capacity-building initiatives for young people in Liberia.

According to the project director, Abraham Kromah, tech gadgets are valuable items that will play a pivotal role in equipping the youth with essential tools for educational and professional development.

The donated items by the European Union among other things include tech gadgets: a Samsung Galaxy A03 Core phone, a Lenovo Intel Core i5 computer laptop, a Logitech mouse, and a charger.

Mr. Kromah in a jouous mood also stated that the donated and essential materials will enable YARD-Liberia, Inc. to enhance its programs and empower young individuals by providing them with access to modern technology.

He additionally stressed that the EU’s contributions were made possible through the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), which serves as the implementing partner of the Youth Rising Project.

“YARD-Liberia, Inc. expresses its deep appreciation to both the European Union and UNIDO for their collaborative efforts and commitments to youth empowerment in Liberia “, Kromah re-emphasized.

The youth group at the same time shower praises on the European Union in Liberia for its unwavering support and commitment to youth development nothing that these donations will contribute to the creation of a brighter future for the youth of Liberia, equipping them with the necessary tools to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

It can be recalled that YARD-Liberia has been in the vanguard over the period of building the technological capacity of young Liberians in order to have them further prepare for the global technological world.

Meanwhile, the second phase of the Youth Rising project will be launched next week Friday January 12, 2024 on female participation in TVET courses. By: Julius Konton
