MASSIVE CPP BUILDUP FOR OCTOBER 1st CAMPAIGN LAUNCH

IPNEWS: After another unprecedented support by citizens of Margibi county on Thursday, this week, the opposition Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) is expected to besiege the Liberian capital Monrovia, on October 1st for its official campaign launch at the Antoinette Tubman sports Stadium (ATS) pitch south of Monrovia.

Ahead of this much anticipated gigantic CPP turnout, the Standard Bearer of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), Alexander B. Cummings, is calling on partisans and sympathizers to turnout in their WHITE, RED, GREEN (Liberty Party Color), on Wednesday, October 1st at the ATS to demonstrate to the World that the CPP is resolved to steer the affairs of governance differently.

 

 

Even though the CPP was rally was previously planned for October 6, in Montserrado county, authorities of the national elections commission abruptly informed the CPP of the holding of other rallies by other political parties on the same day earlier designated for the CPP.

“I know there are lots excitement building of our supporters for our official campaign launch in Montserrado county on October 6, but we’ve informed by the national elections commission that three other political parties have also ask to do their campaign launch in Montserrado on the same day, and as party that wants to do things differently, provide alternative, we decided not to compete or overpowered other members of the opposition. And therefore, we have shifted out rally to October 1st.”

“I am excited that the fact that we know all Liberians, of all works of life, will come out on the 1st to support real change; I know Liberians are tied suffering and they want something different, they want an alternative. So, therefore, I know we will lockdown the ATS; we will lockdown Monrovia on October 1st because all of you will come out to support us-CPP.” Mr. Alexander Cummings stated in a short video.

Earlier this week, hundreds of citizens in lower Margibi County, rallied the Standard Bearer of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), Alexander B. Cummings of a brighter future of economic prosperity on his ascendancy as President of Liberia.

Mr. Cummings, accompanied by his Vice Standard Bearer, Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine, wife, Teresa, and party stalwarts was accorded a rousing welcome Thursday afternoon amid huge jubilation by citizens in Ma Zoe Town, Kporkporken Town, Henry Town and areas along the Roberts International Airport highway in Margibi County.

Citizens of Ma Zoe Town lamented the difficult economic challenges and the disastrous road condition and expressed appreciation to Cummings as the first presidential candidate to visit them.    They spoke of years of government’s neglect and the lack of a school and health facilities and made a special appeal and pledge to support the CPP Standard Bearer’s presidential bid in October.

The CPP Standard Bearer reaffirmed his commitment to fix the deplorable road condition, improve the healthcare and educational systems and revive the ailing economy through massive job creation.

He vowed to stop the influx of dangerous drugs into the country and take appropriate legal action against drug traffickers, while at the same time preventing its widespread abuse among youths.

In Kporkporken Town, the CPP Vice Standard Bearer Counsellor Brumskine cautioned citizens against electing the wrong leaders because of personal benefit or instant gratification.

Cllr. Brumskine said on October 10 every eligible voter will be left alone to vote, and it is therefore a demand on each to consciously choose the most competent candidate capable of transforming Liberia for the betterment of all Liberians.

She lamented the worsening economic conditions and the deplorable state of affairs and warned Liberians to focus on the bigger picture—the future of Liberia—and not vote based on temporary financial gain offered by selfish politicians.

The Law School Lecturer sounded the warning on Thursday, September 21, while on a separate campaign tour with his wife, Teresa Cummings, in Marshall, Lower Margibi County.

The CPP Vice Standard Bearer and entourage visited the Boys Town market, Kporkporken and Henry Town amid great jubilation and warm reception by hundreds of citizens.

She encouraged Liberians about the future consequences of electing incompetent and unqualified leader’s incapable of addressing the vexing socio-economic challenges facing the vast majority of citizens.

Counsellor Brumskine said the election of Alexander Cummings as the next President on October 10 will be a turning point and the emergence of a new Liberia, with economic prosperity for all Liberians.

Margibi County has five electoral districts with an estimated 184,425 eligible voters, according to the National Elections Commission (NEC).
