IPNEWS: A Commissioner at the National Elections Commission (NEC), Floyd Sayor, and His Family were on Sunday, May 7, 2023, honored as “Family of the Year” by members of the Stephen T. Nagbe Church of the United Methodist Church for their long years of commitment and services to the church and humanity over the years. Performing the Honoring ceremony, Mr. & Mrs. Mark M. Marvey stated that Commissioner Floyd Sayor and His Family have been committed and loyal to the workings and operations of the Church since their membership to the Stephen T. Nagbe Church.

Presenting the Honor, Mr. & Mrs. Marvey lauded Commissioner Floyd Sayor and his family for being committed to the things of God over the years. He specially said that, unlike others who would forget about God in their success in life, Commissioner Floyd Saryor and his family stood with the S.T. Nagbe Church and were willing to always contribute when called upon by the church. He further stated that when the church was in need on many occasions, the Saryor Family was always ready and willing to come to the aid of the church. This informed the Leaders and members of the church to overwhelmingly recognized Commissioner Saryor and his Family as Family of the Year.

Presenting the message of the day earlier, the Senior Pastor of the Life Centre Church of the United Methodist Church in Duazon, Rev. Foday E. Karpeh urged all members of the church to contribute towards the workings of God’s Church, as this is the will of all God’s servants. He urged church members to follow the examples of the Family of the Year who has been selflessly contributing towards the growth and progress of God’s church. He stated that the recognition of the Sayor’s Family today was not a mistake, but a decision reached based on their recognizable contributions and role in ensuring that the S.T. Nagbe United Methodist Church remains focused on bringing the message of God to Liberians.

In response, Commissioner Floyd Sayor and his Family thanked the Stephen T. Nagbe UMC Members for the honor and saw it as a motivation to continue contributing to the church. He said the Honor has further reinvigorated him and his family to keep being committed and loyal to the church. He recognized his dear wife, Mrs. Tenneh Saryor, and his children who have been cooperative in the endeavor to support the S.T. Nagbe United Methodist Church. He furthered that his success in life is because of God’s blessings, so he owes it all to God to always support his workings. He called on all families of the church to think about ways in which they can contribute towards the church.
