CPP Announces National Convention Slated for Ganta in May

IPNEWS-Monrovia: The Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) has announced the holding of its National Convention in Ganta City, Nimba County early next month.

The Convention which will run from May 13 – 14, 2023, will bring together five hundred delegates drawn from the seventy-three electoral districts from the 15 counties and from the executive committees of the constituent parties.

Delegates at the Convention are expected to elect the CPP’s Standard Bearer and nominate legislative candidates to contest the 2023 elections.

According to a press release issue in Monrovia Tuesday, April 18, 2023, the CPP also constituted a six-member Convention Committee.

Those appointed are Cllr. Aloysius Toe Chair, Ms. Rugie Barry Co-Chair and Martin Kollah Secretary respectively.

Others include, Representative Larry Younquoi Member, Mrs. Saydah Taylor Member and James Yougie member.

Meanwhile, the release which is signed by Martin Kollah noted that officials of the National Election Commission, officials of other opposition political parties, civil society groups, the diplomatic corps and members of the press will be invited to grace the occasion.
