MCSS Superintendent Appreciates PJS for Remarkable Achievement in 2021/2022 WASSCE Examination

IPNEWS: The Superintendent of the Monrovia Consolidated School System, Mr. Isaac Saye Larkpor Zawolo, has appreciated the Pipeline Junior and Senior High School in Paynesville City for their remarkable achievement in last year’s West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.

Superintendent Zawolo appreciation was contained in a statement he made on Thursday, February 23, 2023, when he paid a visit to the school’s campus to make true his promise. It can be recalled that during the joint graduation ceremony of all Senior Secondary schools within MCSS which was held at the Antoinette Stadium in Monrovia, Mr. Zawolo promised to give $ US 500 to any school that scores high marks in the Examination and that school happens to be the Pipeline Junior and Senior High School in District # 3. Monsterrado County.

Speaking further, Mr. Zawolo indicated that he was elated about the splendid performance of the school and is challenging the current 12th graders to do better than their predecessors.  He intimated that out of 293 students who sat the Exams in May of 2022, all 293, passed five subjects as required by the West African Examination Council., noting that Pipeline School is the high-performing school among schools that sat the annual exams. The MCSS Superintendent thanked the Principal, Teachers and Students of the institution for their tireless efforts in ensuring that the school remains academically viable.

Mr. Isaac Saye Larkpor Zawolo, who took over the MCSS Superintendence in 2021 November, warned female students against getting pregnant but was quick to inform the students that he will not abandon them but work with them to ensure that their academic dreams remain on course. He said with the assistance of President George Manneh Weah and Finance & Development Planning Minister, Samuel Tweah, he will ensure the construction of a Laboratory and an auditorium for the institution, expressing the hope that more will be done to improve the Pipeline Junior and Senior High School. He sees the need for the construction of a three-story building that will eventually do away with the afternoon section, a time that could be used for training in vocational disciplines.

Mr. Zawolo praised the School’s Principal, Mrs. Josephine K. Barclay for the improvement at the school, noting the campus now has a decent outlook, unlike the period before she took over the school. He then encouraged the school administration, faculty, and students to continue to work harder for the success of the school.
