LACC CHAIRPERSON WARNS STAFF TO STAY CLEAR OF POLITICS

IPNEWS: The Executive Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-corruption has warned of stiff action against any anti-corruption professional who involves in the politics of the country.

The LACC Boss reminded staff of their responsibility to continue to fight only corruption and not to get involved in politics. He said as elections season draws closer, the employees should maintain their independence in appearance and in facts.

The Chairperson was speaking as he kicks off training for UNDP-supported corruption reporting officers that will be deployed in various counties.

Cllr. Martin told the Corruption Reporting Associates that he expects them to be professional, civil and discipline in their interaction with communities they will be working in.

He said the LACC expects the one dozen recruits to understand the traditions of the Community, government financial policies and ensure that government and other donors projects are monitor for credible implementation.

Cllr. Martin Reiterated that corruption associates should avoid doing their working through facebook other media outlets. He said anti-corruption officers are requested to report through a channel that has been established under the project through multiple stakeholders.
