Team Gongloe USA Donates 2 Vehicles to Liberian Team

IPNEWS: Team Gongloe in the United States of America on Tuesday, November 8, made a presentation of two vehicles to Team Gongloe in Liberia for use in the upcoming 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections.

Speaking during the presentation at the team’s Congo town offices, a senior member of Team Gongloe Minnesota said it was their way of further strengthening the team so that it is prepared for the upcoming elections.

According to Mr. Tony Leewaye, it’s time that Liberians rally around Team Gongloe by making him the next President of Liberia.

“Gone at those days when people will elect people based on tribalism or for money,” he added.

The Team Gongloe USA stalwart stated that it is the beginning of what he termed “a new day for all Liberians to come together in changing the narrative of politics in Liberia.” He emphasized: “The person who is well prepared to lead the country is Cllr. Taiwon Saye Gongloe.”

Receiving the vehicles, Cllr Gongloe said the Liberian Team was very happy for the donation from their counterparts in the US. He promised that the vehicles will be used for the campaign process.

He said the team is not surprised by the donation they had been helping us since he began the political journey of trying to become Liberia’s next President, making President George Weah a one-term president.

Cllr. Gongloe further stated that for the past weeks he and his team had been on a visitation of Nimba County, and he was able to interact with citizens in Nimba.

According to him, he reached over 165 towns and villages in order to know what they are going through and to tell them what he will be able to do for them when elected as President of Liberia.

Cllr. Gongloe opined that Pres Weah has failed Liberians and it was time for Liberians to vote against him and his government.

“President doesn’t have time for the Liberian people. We will do all it takes to defeat him through the ballot box in the upcoming elections,” he stressed.

According to him, his desire to contest the seat of the highest office in Liberia is based on the “continued lawlessness on the part of the Weah-led government.”

“I am running to be President because of lawlessness in the country. For a long time in our country, our government has not been able to govern by the rule of law and it has undermined public trust,” Cllr. Gongloe said.

Also, Cllr. Gongloe promised to combat corruption when he becomes President.

“Corruption cannot be eradicated but it can be minimized, and we can do a lot to curtail it.”

Cllr. Gongloe further stated that his government will strengthen the application of the law. That way, he says will reduce crimes in the country.

“Under my reign, Liberia will be a safe place for tourism,” he added. By Taisiah K. Merfee
