No Truth In Fake Email-NEC Clarifies

The National Elections Commission (NEC) has clarified that recent purported email circulating are Fake and locks every substance of truthfulness.

The purported claimed to be exchanges between the Chairman of the National Elections Commission Jerome Korkoya and some senior staff of the NEC are  nothing but insinuation that does not satisfy facts.

The email alleged that the exchanges between the Chairman of the National Elections Commission Jerome Korkoya and some senior staff of the NEC clearly signifies clams of vote tampering by NEC officials during the October 10 Presidential and Legislative elections.

Henry Flomo, NEC Communication Director said the email account was illegally generated and circulated to dispute the reputation and credibility of the October 10 electoral process.

“The Commission clarifies that the email in question was never written or circulated by Chairman Korkoya and the contents contained therein are false and only designed to cause confusion in the country,” Flomo told a news conference.

Director Flomo disclosed that the commission has asked the police to probe the matter to establish the sender identity “ admi@necliberia.org”- which does not exist on NEC’s server.

“For all official mails, internal and external, NEC uses the first letter of first names and then last names plus the domain address. Therefore the address of the sender is faked,” Flomo maintained
