Harsh Market – Restaurant Owner Appeal For Speedy Election Resolution

The owner of the Elite Bar & Restaurant, at the old Central Bank,   Antoinette Melton,   has expressed harsh market on the prices of commodities on the Liberian Market.

Madam Melton decried the current situation faced among young business owners especially Liberian owned restaurant as deplorable.

“We, as restaurant owners are overwhelmed with the high cost on prices of locally grown vegetables. In fact, each day got a different price on items at the market”. Melton said.

Melton emphasized that Liberian business owners are of equal competence in the provision and supplies of major hotels restaurants but there is a need by central government to ensure the stabilization of prices on the Liberian market.

“Even though I have not taken loan but a lot of our colleagues are seriously in need of loans to stimulate their respective businesses if the economy should remain vibrant”.

She further called on political leaders to reason and ensure the stability of the country remain a priority.

“ We are aware that some of our political leaders may have had issues with the October 10 polls but we call upon them to see Liberia first and lets jointly move Liberia forward.

Madam Melton congratulated Liberians for ensuring the October polls were violence free and calls on all to remain committed to a peaceful conduct of the much anticipated runoff.
