IPONEWS: The Monsterrado district #13 Representative aspirant Solomon Cheapoo, Sr. breaks the presidential protocol seeking the attention of President Weah to demand their seating Rep. Edward P. Flomo to relinquish $ 70, 000.00 US meant for Community development to be turned over to the community leadership.
Cheapoo insisted on his nonrecognition on the podium by the district Lawmaker, signaled to the Vice President and the President to allow him to speak while he picked up the microphone accusing Rep. Flomo of massive Corruption during the presidential County in Montserrado at
Gabriel Kpolleh’s school compound in the New Georgia Community on Friday, August 19, 2022.
He characterized their Lawmaker as the Corruption King Kong who is swapping the entire district development funds for his personal use.
According to him, Flomo recently accepted receiving $70,000 US from the Chinese sand mining Company in the district for Community Social development but announced on the public media that the money is for the use of his office.
Speaking with Journalists the day after his action, he said Flomo accepted receiving $70, 000.00US from the sand mining Company intended for Community development but stated, that the money is intended for his official use.
Going further, Monsterrado district #13 aspirant declared that their Lawmaker has instructed the Chinese sand Mining company to be the consortium of the Community development funds as only he is allowed as a signatory to it.
Providing the details of the money generated; Solomon Cheapoo narrated that the Battery Factory Community entered into an agreement with the Chinese sand mining company in the Community that each load of the trunk will pay $5US for their community development initiative.
However, he denied the allegations of hijacking the President Protocol but said he publicly called on the President’s attention and was granted permission before taking over the podium.
When visited the home of Montserrado district #13 Lawmaker for clarity, Men who were believed to be his staffers informed our report that he was out, and several calls have been placed to him but to no avail.
