Tiawon Gongloe Gets Opposition Jittery; Draws Attraction across U.S.

IPNEWS – USA: The massive show of support for Liberiaโ€™s poor-man lawyer, Counselor Tiawan Saye Gongloe, currently visiting the United States, has now captured the attention of opposition leaders in Liberia.

IPNEWS understands that Counselor Gongloe reported attraction is now the topic of discussion across political partiesโ€™ executive meetings.

Sources within the former ruling Unity Party hinted IPNEWS that discussions are underway to laud the Liberian legal scholar for joining ranks with the Unity Party ahead of the October 2023, Presidential elections.

Other information revealed that the Alternative National Congress, of former coco-cola executive Alexander B. Cummings, has also commenced behind-the-scenes discussions with Counselor Tiawan Saye Gongloe, in landing him to the ANC as Vice running mate.

A closed associate of Counselor Gongloe, who preferred not to be named, told IPNEWS that Cllr. Gongloe has uprightly rejected holding discussions with the Unity Party in landing him as its Vice Running mate due to what he calls โ€˜Boakai surrounding of corrupts individualsโ€™.

The source further stated that all options are on the table for discussion with the ANC but ruled out any merger or intentions to run as vice standard bearer to ANC Alexander B. Cummings.

While those discussions ensue, a dispatch from the United State says even though since his arrival in the United States almost two months ago, his activities have mainly been concentrated on the East Coast and the Midwestern region, coupled with a few southern states, yet Counselor Gongloeโ€™s message of catalyzing comprehensive economic regeneration and national development through prudent policies and cultural integrity is steadily resonating with diaspora Liberians and friends of Liberia from all walks of life.
