IPNEWS-GSA Road-MONROVIA: At least eight persons died early Thursday morning, February 25,2021, from a suspected generator smoke in the paynesville suburb of GSA Road.
According to residents madam Nancy Miller, a graduate of the University of Liberia, and seven others reportedly died from generator smoke/Carbon monoxide at their home behind SKD Sports Complex community in Paynesville.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless flammable gas that is slightly less dense than air. It is toxic to animals that use hemoglobin as an oxygen carrier when encountered in concentrations above about 35 ppm causing carbon monoxide poisoning.
Residents said they woke up to the strange atmosphere of a locked up home of their neighbors who are usually out by 6:00A.M.
According to Community residents, the family of the house held a party yesterday and put off all musical sets at around 10pm at night.
An eyewitness further noticed that the generator of their neighbors were still on up to 10am this morning when everyone grew suspicions surrounding the quietness of the house.
Many Community residents who expressed shock over the death of the lady and her children including her mother, believed that they might have died from the generator smoke.
Police arrived to the scene taking the bodies for proper examinations.
Some bodies were discovered in the living room while other were seen lying in the floor in front of her bathroom and in the other rooms.
This is the first of it kind in the Community behind the SKD sports complex for entire family to be killed in a house.
