IPNEWS-MONROVIA:The Government of Guinea confirmed seven Ebola Cases. Upon the confirmation, the President of the Republic of Liberia, Dr. George Manneh Weah mandated the Health Authority to heighten the Country’s surveillance and preparedness.
The government of Liberia in a release states that following the President’s mandate for active survillence, the Ministry of Health, NPHIL and partners began preparing across the length and breadth of the country with focus on the Counties boarding neighboring Guinea,
Surveillance and respond systems set up in the counties during the previous outbreak are being re-awaken with technical support from the national team (NPHIL, MOH, partners).
The government of Liberia reiterates that cureently there is no Ebola case found in Liberia.
The release states that however, the Ministry of Health encourages all Liberians, and residence alike to continue the preventive measures including, washing of Hands, social distancing, and avoid shaking hands. Please continue to ware your face mask.
We encourage all communities along the boarders to enforce the prevention methods of Ebola virus.
