IPNews-Monrovia: The Liberia National Police has arrested, investigated and charged suspect Alexander Wallace Jr., age 36, a resident of Doe Community and a former employee of the Jeety Trading Corporation with Criminal Conspiracy and theft of property.
Suspect Wallace was arrested based on a complaint filed by the management of Jeety Trading Corporation in Vai Town, on the 29th of January, 2021 for criminally conspiring with Prince Toe and stole several properties valued at Two Hundred Forty-One Thousand, Eight Hundred, Nine dollars and Seventy-Five cents (USD241,809.75) from the management.
During police investigation conducted, it was established that suspect Alexander Wallace and his accomplice, Prince Toe who were both employees and assigned at the company’s warehouse connived and took away four (4) rolls of electrical wires on January 14, 2021 and six (6) rolls of similar items on January 29, 2021.
Accomplice Toe later absconded the scene when he was seen with the items by another employee, Robert Gibson in Sheriff’s yard, Vai Town.
It was also revealed that, suspect Wallace and his absconded accomplice, Toe were viewed on a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage.
In view of the foregoing, coupled with facts gathered, the investigation has resolved to forward suspect Alexander Wallace to Court with the above crimes which contravened Chapter 10, section 10.4 and Chapter 15, subchapter D, section 15.51of the revised penal code of the Republic of Liberia, while suspect Prince Toe is also charged in absentia.
