IPNews-Monrovia: He might be new to how dollar-politics have not changed the political effect of electorates in Liberia.

Experiences have shown that the likes of both Cletus Wortorson, and Cllr. Varney Sherman, Action Party and Kennedy Sandee, including several others have fallen to undesirable effects of Liberian politics and how dollars politicking has not affected the mindsets of the electorates.

Now, Mr. Daniel Cassell, the newest on the block is simply following the path of an emerging lavished spender.

The authoritative Independent Probe(IP) has established that the presume leader of Liberia’s newest political party, People’s Liberation Party (PLP), is now dashing out huge sums to instigate political insurgency within the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change-CDC, and the Collaborating Political Parties-CPP.

IPNews has established that former Unity Party Chairman Wilmot Paye, is now tipped to become the first National Chairman of PLP and Paye is said to be on his way along with some contingent of Unity Party influential partisans.

Sources within the PLP tells IPNews that former Liberian Ambassador to the United Nations, Ambassador Lewis G. Brown has been bandaged and left in the cold following months of negotiation to become the PLP National Chairman.

Information available to IPNews further says that a huge disenchanted partisans of the Liberty Party, including Senator Steve Zargo and Kla Edward Tommey are notable names that might surface within the leadership of the PLP.

The PLP is now also causing political havoc within rural Liberia, converting some current members of the CDC and the former ruling National Patriotic Party-NPP, as it constitutes its party’s county leaderships.

On the national scene, the PLP is now engaged heavily within the leadership of the CDC, following discontent by members of the tripartite formation that they are not benefiting immensely from the political arrangement which saw the overwhelming victory of the CDC in 2017.

Sources tell IPNews that overnight negotiations now see a huge contingent of the former ruling NPP, the Liberia Peoples Democratic Party-LPDP, and disenchanted members of the CDC crossing over to the PLP within the coming days.

IPNews has also been hinted that last minutes’ discussions with the Congress of Democratic Change-CDC, leadership and members of the NPP and LPDP, last week regarding key issues including plights and other legitimate concerns did not materialize.

However, Daniel Cassell, within the last month has stepped up impartation with various groups, most notably by awarding scholarships and gifts to relatives of deceased LRA employees.

Dr. Cassell has also provided cash prizes of US$500 and US$400 to high performing students in the 2020 WASSCE.

Cassell is also now the darlingboy of the some section of the Liberian media, a move observers think should have been the play card of President George Weah and his government but is yet to utilize it.

As evident of him being the media darling, he was named recently by some big newspapers and radio stations as “Man of the Year”.

Admirably, Dr. Cassell on January 8, 2021, held a one-day outreach activities with the Group of 77 and other group of people living with disabilities in commemoration of his organization’s anniversary.

During the commemorative event, Dr. Cassell provided 300 bags of rice, 200 gallons of cooking oil and 100,000 Liberian dollars to those people living with disabilities.

At the moment, popular talkshow host and Liberian government-declared fugitive, Henry Pedro Costa, is another admirer and supporter of Dr. Daniel Cassell, for his philanthropic works.

Amid all this, political observers have hinted IPNews that considering the moves by Dr. Daniel Cassell, the 2023 Presidential and General Elections might just be another spectacular event to witness.
