By: Kai Gee

IPNews-Monrovia:Southeasterners in Grand Gedeh, RiverGee and Maryland counties have described the death of regional Liberian National Police (LNP) Commander Alexander Saye as a political plot organized to eliminate him.

IPNews Reporter in an interview with residents of Zwedru says the death of the regional commander must to be thoroughly investigated and demanded that the perpetrators be brought to book.

Richard Dweh, a business man on Desuah Street in Zwedru alleged that senior officials are behind the sponsored killing of the trained security expert.

He lamented that the mysterious killings under the administration of George Weah is unfortunate and has created fear for citizens— also scarying investors away from the country.

Several police officers had since abandoned their respective assignments in the county in protest of the death of commander Saye.

Citizens who phoned in on local radio talk shows in the southeasten counties expressed disgusts about the government’s continued failure to create a peaceful environment for its citizens as prescribed in the 1986 Liberian Constitution.

Information reaching the Independent Probe Newspaper from a very closed source in the offices of Rep. Zoe Pennue and Supt. Kai Farley says the regional commander Saye died due to some hardcore information he (Saye) got concerning Hon. Pennue alleged criminal activities in the country.

The sources further alleged that Rep. Pennue Brother Sampson Pennue Director of the National Security Agency in Grand Gedeh County was the one who killed Alexander Saye in Bartijam Gold Mines under the pretense of security patrol.

It is said that NSA Grand Gedeh Boss is in Monrovia undergoing investigation as a prime suspect .

Civil Society Organizations and the local authorities in the county are yet to make statements said matter.

Some youth activists in the county have threatened a protest on December 8 2020 in Zwedru over the mysterious death of the regional commander.

Early Saturday, December 5, 2020, relatives of the late Alexander Saye, protested in the Battery Factory community for a speedy investigation into the death of their relative, who they believed, was murdered.

IPNews is making frantic efforts in getting Rep. Zoe Pennoh. However, he is yet to respond to IPNews inquiries. Investigation continues
