IPNews-Monrovia: The National Elections Commission says all Registered Voters Will be allowed to Vote on tomorrow Tuesday, December 8, 2020 and warbs that all Political Campaign Ends Tonight at 12:00A.M.

The National Elections Commission (NEC) described as untrue reports that the Commission will not allow voters without masks to vote on Tuesday December 8, 2020 Senatorial Election, Referendum and two Representative By-elections.

In a statement on Sunday, NEC says these reports that people without masks will not on Tuesday are only intended to discourage registered voters from turning out to vote.

The Commission says everyone turning out to vote on Tuesday will be allowed. The NEC says much as it is observing the Covid-19 health protocols, including washing of hands and social distancing, polling staff have been trained to deploy strategies that will ensure all voters do have the opportunity to cast their ballot on Tuesday.

The NEC wants those spreading these rumors to immediately desist and rather encourage 2.4million people with valid voting cards to turnout to vote on Tuesday, from 8am to 6pm.

Meanwhile, the National Elections Commission says final preparations leading to the conduct of the 8 December 2020 Elections are proceeding according to plan.

According to the statement from the NEC, final deployment of sensitive and non-sensitive elections materials, as well as temporary staff of the Commission, is taking place today Sunday 6 December 2020.

At the same time, the NEC is reminding all Political Parties, Independent Candidates, Alliances and Coalitions that political campaign ends at 11:59PM tonight, Sunday 6 December 2020.
