IPNews-Nimba County: What seems to be a confession is developing in Nimba County following a leaked audio in which electoral district #1 Representative and a senatorial hopeful, Jeremiah Kpan Koung is heard boasting about his wealth.

“I make my daughter to vomit money to sustain my business and political ventures. By 2007, 2008 and 2009 she was sitting inside vomiting money, and I was there packing it. Rep. Jeremiah Kpan Koung asserted in the leaked recording.

The audio recording has since gone viral in the county as citizens have expressed complete dismay over the action.

“By 2009 -2010, I owned the biggest petroleum company and have 32 tankers and UNMIL ( United Nations Mission in Liberia) was paying me $USD 10000 every month as a rental fee for my property” he continued in the audio.

The businessman turned politician is often accused by people in the county over his ill-gotten wealth, attributing it to his alleged ritualistic practices.

The citizens’ allegations came as the result of the current health condition of his daughter and wife.

According to some citizens, Hon. Koung wife and daughter are sickly and they are often kept in doors.

It can be recalled that Hon. Koung started his business as a drugs seller (Black- bagger Medicine) during the 2003 Liberian civil war, and he subsequently became Representative of NIMBA county electoral district #1 in 2011 and re-elected in 2017.

Meanwhile, the leaked audio has brought serious threat to the political ambition of the Lawmaker with many citizens being in limbo over the stable health condition of his family.

The citizens however called on Rep. Koung to provide clarification on the alleged ritualistic acts but he has since refused to comment on the matter when quizzed by IPNews Nimba County reporter.

The residents believe, if Rep. Koung does not clarify these allegations, he will be rejected and branded as a ritualist.

According to the imminent citizens including chiefs and elders, the alleged ritualistic act has brought total shame to they and the county.

Representative Koung, like his political god-father, Prince Yomie Johnson are always in the news for usual occurrences.

IPNews is yet to receive clarity from Hon. Koung over the last two weeks on his alleged ritualistic acts, investigation continues.
