IPNews-Monrovia: As the West African senior secondary School Exams draw closer, Montserrado County District 13 Representative Edward Flomo has made full payment, the amount of six hundred thousand Liberian Dollars toward the school fees of hundreds of 12 graders on his personal scholarship.
The Montserrado Lawmaker currently has over three thousand five hundred students on his scholarship worth about 30 Million Liberian Dollars,an amount of which 15 million has been paid.
Speaking when he made the payment, Representative Flomo said he decided to pay the 12 graders school fees to enable them sit the WASSCE Exams.
Representative Flomo intoned that as the district lawmaker, he sees education as one of the tangibles he can contribute to the lives of young people in his district.
The Distract 13 Representative used the occasion to challenge 12 graders of District 13, who are on his scholarship to study and make a successful pass.
Representative Edward Flomo revealed that students scoring high marks in the WASSCEE EXAMS stand a chance of gaining scholarship to acquire higher Education.
For her part, speaking on behalf of the schools; Mrs Bendu Sarkpah- Principal-Freeway Baptist Elementary, Junior & Senior High School appreciated the Lawmaker for his timely intervention, especially making a cash payment of his personal finances to schools for settling arrears for students at a time when the country is facing health and economic challenges.
