Breaking News: Senate Shut down! As COVID-19 Hits Senate

IPNews-Monrovia: Senate Deputy The Liberian Senate has with immediate effect quarantined its entire secretarial for two weeks.

The Senate decision followed confirmation of the positive coronavirus test of the Deputy Secretary of the Senate Jenevi Massaqua.

According to our source, the deputy Secretary of the Senate has been home for a week taking care of her sick husband who works at the Ministry of Education.

Education Minister Ansu Sunii is currently being treated for the Coronavirus at the 14 military hospitals after being tested positive of the virus.

It is believe that the husband of the Deputy Secretary of the Senate contracted the virus from the Ministry of Education.

According to our source, the Liberian Senate has also suspended its regular session until the completion of the quarantine period of members of the secretarial.

The number of coronavirus continues to escalate following the relaxation of some of the coronavirus measures by the president.

Meanwhile, report reaching IPNews indicates that the House of Representatives is also considering the suspension of its regulation session after a member of that was reported positive of the virus. Investigation continues….
