Liberia: “We Will Fix This Broken System “, CSA Boss, Josiah F. Joekai Jr., Declares

IPNEWS: The Director General of the Civil Service Agency Josiah F. Joekai Jr. said the government through the CSA is committed to fixing the broken system in the public sector.
Speaking at programs marking the final reflection of the President’s Young Professional program class ten, Mr. Joekai stated that gone are the days when the government will put square pecks in round holes.
“If we have to fix our broken system, we have to do it now and we have to get qualified people to fit in critical positions in order to get the job done”, he re-emphasized.
Mr. Joekai who is also the board chair of the PYPP stated that he is mandated to do the right thing and he is committed to doing that in the interest of the Country.
“We are now working with other agencies of government to ensure that the work is done”, he added.
The CSA Head who hailed the leaders of the President’s Young Professional Program for a job well done was also quick to commend the prospective graduates for their focus mind and determination to contribute to the larger society.
” I am impressed with your demonstration here today and this is the quality that we are looking for in the public sector “, he reechoed.
According to him, Liberia has qualified Professionals especially young and productive people with the requisite skills and qualifications something he pointed out is now needed to help fix the broken and old age system that has affected the Country for years.
He encouraged the tenth circle of the PYPP that as they embark on a journey in the larger society, they should be aware that they have a critical role to play in order to make a difference in the Country.
” I trust your ability and I am certain that you will change the dynamics for the betterment of the society”, he added.
Admist criticism, claims and counter claims in the wake of the payroll cleaning up exercises as well as new and practical  reforms at the level of the CSA, the Director General maintained that he remains committed and resolved in working properly and legally in order to fix the system despite mixed views in the public.
