IPNEWS: The Justice Minister and Attorney General of the Republic of Liberia, Cllr. Oswald Tweh has disclosed that the government has developed a national prison database for all prison facilities aimed at tracking and keeping records on inmates.
“Through the help of our partners, we have a national prison database now. It digitalizes prison records. It is connected to all 16 prison facilities so we can know exactly who all are in jail”, Cllr. Tweh said on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Monrovia on State-owned radio ELBC.
According to the Attorney General, in this contemporary time, it is prudent enough to have a digitalized prison facility to have records on inmates across the various prison centers in the country.
He added that the process is in line with the ongoing decentralization and equipping the prison facilities as compared to both regional and international standards.
Tweh unveiled that his entity is making sure to resolve some of the inherited hurdles at the prison centers of the country, saying that they are eagerly working on making them conducive for those being incarcerated. π©π π². π¬ππππππ πΊππππ
