Media Group Wants Boakai to Dismiss His Legal Advisor

IPNWS; A pro-media group, Media United to Enhance Democracy, is calling on President Joseph Nyuma Boakai to immediately dismiss his legal advisor, Cllr. Bushuben Keita for repeatedly ill-advising him on legal matters that contravenes the laws of Liberia.

The Media Group believes that Cllr. Keita ill advised to the President has led to series of legal missteps when it comes to decisions emanating from the  presidency, a situation, the group said, has caused serious embarrassment to the President.

The Media Group, through its Acting Executive Director, Derrick Ernest Clarke, named the issues of the tenure position, the controversial Yellow Machine saga and the Central Bank of Liberia Governor controversial suspension as some of the countless number of misguided legal thoughts on the part of Cllr. Keita.

The Media Group intoned that if President Boakai continues to take advised from Cllr. Keita, it would lead to the breakdown of the rule of law under his stewardship as President who took oath to defend the laws of Liberia.

In a release issued in Monrovia, Mr. Clarke emphasized the importance of the legal advisor in the office of the President and as such it behooves the President Boakai to take the needed corrective measures to avoid the constant wave of blunders on legal issues.

The Media Group said the refusal of President Boakai to replace Cllr. Bushuben Keita as his legal advisor would create further embarrassment to his presidency and would be recorded as the only Liberian president that violated all the laws of Liberia.
