IPNEWS: The Ministry of Commerce & Industry, in collaboration with the Management of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), has announced reductions in the prices of petroleum products.
Gasoline (PMS) prices have decreased by ten United States cents (US$0.10), and fuel oil (AGO) prices have similarly dropped by ten United States cents (US$0.10).
According to a price circular jointly signed by the Minister of Commerce & Industry and the Managing Director of the LPRC, the new wholesale prices for gasoline and diesel are US$3.90 and US$4.43 respectively. The retail pump prices are US$4.18 (or LRD 810.00) for gasoline and US$4.71 (or LRD 910.00) for diesel.
These adjustments reflect a reduction of ten United States cents (US$0.10) per gallon for both gasoline and diesel fuel.
The MoCI and LPRC Inspectorate Team will closely monitor compliance with these approved prices to prevent arbitrary increases in the pump prices of gasoline and diesel on the local market.
