President Boakai Applauds Canada on 157th & US on 248th Independence Anniversaries Respectively   

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of Canada on the auspicious occasion commemorating the 157th Independence Anniversary of that great country on July 1, 2024.  

In the message to His Excellency, the Right Honorable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, President Boakai, Sr., extended profound congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Canada, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name. 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader further stated that Liberia’s relationship with Canada presents the opportunity for exchanges on efforts to deepen future bilateral ties in many spheres. 

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., then prayed that the people of Canada will continue to enjoy the blessings of peace and unity. 

Meanwhile, the Liberian leader has also sent a Congratulatory Message to the Government and people of the United States of America on the occasion marking the 248th Independence Anniversary of that country on July 4, 2024.

In the message to United States President Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and people of the Liberia, and in his own name, extended warm felicitations and sincere best wishes to President Biden, and through him, to the Government and people of the United States of America as they commemorate this historic milestone. 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader recalled vividly that as the United States commemorates another milestone in its national existence, the historic bond of friendship and cooperation subsisting between the two countries and peoples will continue to be increasingly enhanced.  

President Boakai, Sr., noted that as Liberia’s closest traditional bilateral partner, Liberia will continue to engage positively with the United States to build on their strong existing bilateral framework as well as to cooperate with the United States in the fight to achieve and sustain international peace and security. 

The Liberian leader then wished for President Joe Biden’s personal well-being and continued wisdom as he leads his people on the continued irreversible path to sustained peace, stability and prosperity
