IPNEWS: The Ministry of Labour says it has dismissed 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗹𝘂 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆

It can be recalled that on the 17th day of June, 2024, the superintendent of Gbarpolu County brought to the attention of the Minister of Labour, Cllr. Cooper Kruah, that some individuals presented themselves as inspectors of the ministry and were seen in the County arresting aliens and seizing their passports.

According to a Labour Ministry Press release, the Ministry said it has launched an immediate investigation and discovered that the individuals involved, though they are employees of the Ministry, are not inspectors and that their activities in the county were totally illegal on grounds that they were not authorized by the Ministry.

The release further noted that following the outcome of the investigation, the Minister of Labour, Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah, has with immediate effect ordered the dismissal of the five employees that were involved in the illegal act.

Those affected employees are: Edwin Seebo, Victor Whymah, Samuel Sambola, Bill Ninneh and Raymond Saah.
