Liberia: Former Pres. Weah’s Religious Adviser, Rev. Emmanuel Nimely Spent 1st Night Behind Bars

IPNEWS: Police in Monrovia have and arrested and are currently investigating former Religious Advisor to former President George Manneh Weah, Rev. Emmanuel Nimely for theft of property and misapplication of entrusted funds.

Sources at the Liberia National Headquarters early Monday morning confirmed to the authoritative Independent Probe that Rev. Nimely spent his first night behind bars for allegedly duping over ninety Liberians.

According to the report, Rev. Emmanuel Nimely was arrested, handcuffed and thrown behind bars late Sunday, June 2,2024, while on his way to church service at the Forky Klon Jlaleh Family Fellowship Center.

Many of the victims alleged that Rev. Emmanuel Nimely received at least $ 700 USD, 1,000USD, 1,500 USD and 2,000 USD respectively from each of them for visa processing to Australia which has never been done.

When contact, Rev. Emmanuel Nimely mobile phone ring endlessly.  Police Spokeswoman is promised to brief Journalist later in the day. Investigation continues
