IPNEWS: The newly Inducted Superintendent of Nimba County Superintendent, has outlined five major development areas for Nimba county transformation.
According to Superintendent Kou Meapeh Gono education, youth and women empowerment, health, and tourism are key areas her administration will focus on in the coming years.
Madam Gono emphasized the importance of unity, reconciliation, and peace among the people of Nimba County to achieve the goals set out by her administration.
She also highlighted the significance of accountability and transparency in accelerating growth and development to improve the well-being of the people.
During the induction ceremony in Sanniquillie, Nimba County, Internal Affairs Minister Francis Nyumalin urged the local leadership to prioritize accountability in their administration.
He added that accountability is essential in combating corruption, which can hinder development in the country.
Minister Nyumalin cautioned the local leadership against allowing corruption to take root, as it can have detrimental effects on progress and prosperity. He also reminded Superintendent Gono to adhere to the provisions of the 2018 Local Government Act in her leadership.
