We demand that the government of Liberia finance an independent autopsy by an internationally licensed pathologist to unpack the sudden and unexplained passing of journalist Flomo.
There are reports that shortly prior to his unfortunate and untimely demise, Flomo was involved in a toxic exchange with some individuals in Ganta over the recent elections where threats on his life was issued.
The circumstances surrounding the journalist’s death raise serious concerns about press freedom, safety, and potential foul play. An independent autopsy is crucial to ensure transparency, accountability, and truth.

Prior to his sudden death on February 25, 2024, in Nimba county, journalist Henry Flomo served as the Director of Communication at the National Elections Commission.

Diaspora Alert is appalled by the deafening silence of the Press Union of Liberia and other media advocacy groups on this grave matter. Their lack of action undermines the principles of press freedom and responsibility. DA assures the grieving family, loved ones, and the public that it will not rest until justice is served. We expect the Press Union of Liberia and other media advocacy groups to join us in this quest for justice.
