IPNEWS: A delegation of Japanese businessmen and politicians have assured President Joseph N. Boakai of Japan readiness to invest in various sector of the country.
Speaking at a meeting between the visiting Japanese delegation and the Liberian President, Japanese Ambassador xxxx assured President Boakai of his country mutual cooperation between the two countries and the need to further expand the relationship that will benefit the two countries and their respective citizens.
Speaking to newsmen at the end of the meeting, Liberia’s Ambassador accredited Japan, Blamo Nelson said President Boakai thanked the Japanese government for the level of technical support given to the country over the years that impacted the infrastructural development of the country especially in the area of road connectivity. He mentioned the Japanese Freeway most importantly.
For his part, according to Ambassador Nelson, the Japanese Ambassador, equally thanked the government of Liberia and the people of Liberia through President Boakai for the cordial relationship that has been existing between the two countries over the years.
“The Ambassador told President Boakai that his government appreciates the cordial relationship existing between the two countries and will further work with the Boakai administration to achieve its objective for the Liberian people. He specifically mentioned the Freeport to Via Town Road project as well as the Freeport to po River Bridge projects and expressed commitment to undertake and complete the project”, Ambassador Nelson said.
