Supreme Court Clears Cllr. Ndubuisi Nwabudike to Practice LAW Across Liberia

IPNEWS: The Supreme Court of Liberia declares Cllr. Ndubuisi Nwabudike, former Chair of LACC a free man to practice law across Liberia as the court lifts his suspension imposed by the Bar Association.

According to IPNEWS court reporter, the Supreme Court of Liberia has finally lifted the suspension imposed on the former Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission, Cllr. Ndubuisi Nwabudike to practice at any court as a counselor-at-law.

In the judgment, the court said the full legal status of the LACC former head is hereby restored.

It can be recalled that in August 2021, the Supreme Court nullified the suspension of Cllr. Nwabudike by the Liberia National Bar Association over claims that he is not a Liberian citizen thus disqualifying him to practice law across the country and serving as head of the LACC.

The high court further ordered the Ministry of Justice to take seize of the matter and investigate as to whether Cllr. Nwabudike is a citizen or not. The Supreme Court convened and reviewed the petitioner’s petition for reinstatement to the practice of law in the jurisdiction.

The Chief Justice and Associate Justices of the Supreme Court expressed satisfaction over the period Cllr. Nwabudike was suspended from the practice of law.
