IPNEWS: President Weah approves $ 650 Thousand United States Dollars as budgetary support to the Joint Presidential Transition team for the successful inauguration of President-elect Joseph Boakai

The Joint Presidential Transition team has been set up by both the outgoing and incoming Presidents to ensure a peaceful and successful transfer of power from the CDC government to the Unity Party Government on January 22, 2024.

Addressing a news conference Thursday in Monrovia on behalf of the Vice President-elect Jeremiah Koung, Atty. Samuel Kofi Woods said the CDC government has fully cooperated with the inaugural committee by providing the necessary funding to facilitate the process.

According to him, all is now set and ready for the inauguration of President-elect Joseph Boakai, noting that all agencies and machineries have been authorized and energized to fully function.

Atty. Kofi Woods at the same time commended members of the JPTT from the current and incoming government for their high level of cooperation and commitment in making the transition successful.
