Liberia Runoff Election: NEC In Full Readiness for Tuesday’s Voting

IPNEWS: National Elections Commission declares its full readiness for the conduct of the presidential run-off election; says deployment of ballot boxes across the country is in progress.

The Chairperson of the National Election Commission, Daviedetta Brown-Lansanah has announced the commission’s readiness for the conduct of the presidential run-off election.

The election between incumbent President George Weah, standard bearer of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change and former VP and flag bearer of the opposition Unity Party, Joseph Boakai is slated for today Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Making the disclosure on Voice of America Monday, Madam Lansanah said the NEC has in its possession both finances and ballot papers meant for the conduct of the election, adding that deployment of ballot boxes is in progress.

She noted that measures have been put in place for the deployment of security officers at every precinct center across the country.

At the same time, Madam Daviedetta Brown Lansanah has fervently urged Liberians to exercise their civic duty in the upcoming Tuesday, November 14, 2023 runoff election.
