IPNEWS: A journey from Star of the Sea Elementary School in West Point to become the first ever girl child from West Point to Dux Cathedral Catholic High School on Broad Street. That’s the story of brilliant little Emmanueline A. Kromah, daughter of the revolutionary Gladiator Manja Varney Kromah, National Chairman of the event potent Green Revolution.
It was a glaring and colorful program when little Emmanueline A. Kromah was called on stage to receive her certificate as a dux in English, Mathematics, and Biology, the entire hall went amok for a girl child to emerge from West Point at the age of 17 and stayed focused without being caught in any peer pressure to engage in the unthinkable that would have disrupted her high school education and duxed a Catholic School.
Little Dux Emmanuelle A. Kromah has made history and rewritten the thoughts of Liberians against West Pointer. “It’s now a fact that you can come from West Point and be anything you want,” said the graduate. “If my aunt the late Gifty Lama could come from the same West Point and dux Stella Maris Polytechnic, I am also on my way to Mother Patten to be the best that I can be in the Sciences and become the best medical student and graduate as a very good medical practitioner.”
It’s now a fact that you as a girl child from West Point can put books first before boys, and be the next dux of any school you want. “Am so glad for the parents I have, most especially my father who is above all other fathers, a dad whose footsteps am following, a father who never accepted anything but to be first in whatever you do and never 80 points as the best score, a father who reduced my recess because I came below 82 points, a father who never allowed me see other people things as mine or my priority, a father who is the father of all years, my father Manja Varney Gbassey Kromah. I love you so much, my daddy.”
Little dux Emmanueline A. Kromah had the following points as a dux in three subjects:
1. English.. 84%
2. Math … 85%
3. Biology.. 88%
She is now set to enter a university in a year. May the Good Lord protect, guide and guard you in your next academic sojourn my beloved daughter.
