“We Are Ready to Fix This Country” Cllr. Brumskine Tells Liberians after Nomination Process

IPNEWS: The running mate to Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) standard bearer, Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine says there is a new day for the development of Liberia after going through her Candidate Nomination process at the National Elections Commission (NEC) center set up at the Samuel Kanyon Sports Complex in Paynesville.

Speaking to journalists, the CPP standard bearer Alexander Cummings’ running mate said, “The People of Liberia are suffering and the only hope for them is the CPP and this is why we are here to provide the needed leadership of our country and its people.”

Cllr. Brumskine point out that going through the nomination at the NEC center in Paynesville is “for the women of Liberia and the girls who have been on the Streets of Monrovia, who don’t have food for her children and our sisters who are selling on the Streets of Monrovia to provide for them and their family”.

Commenting further the CPP second-in-command noted that she is also striving for the young men of Doe Community who only means of living is to ride motorcycles or to go fishing in other to support their family that is why they were at NEC to go through the nomination process so that if certificated as candidates they can vie to win the elections and fix Liberia.

She said “for the men and women who are in the Diaspora, who have told them that they are not part of the development process of the country that we are there for them.

“To every Liberian who have been told that the only way they can live is to eat from the crumbs that the political elites had created that our people are living in poverty we are here for them.”

Speaking further, the Cllr. Brumskine noted that the CPP is not only here to fix the already broken system but to provide proper leadership for the men and women of the country that is underdeveloped for so many years, they believe that every Liberian will benefit from the resources of the country.

Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine told journalists that there is still hope for Liberians and that can only be actualized by Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings and herself that is why Liberians are giving them their support on a daily basis.

According to her, now that they have completed the first process the party and the leadership are waiting for the Registration process of all of those wanting to run on the party’s ticket.

Speaking further Cllr. Brumskine added that she doesn’t want Liberians to worry about Grand Bassa County, but they should worry about Liberia because Grand Bassa County will surely be delivered to the CPP based on the works Mr. Cummings has done.

Commenting on Bassa politics, she narrated that “no daughters of Bassa will fight another daughter of Grand Bassa County especially the daughter of the founding Father of the Liberty Party, no Bassa woman will do it.”

“We are not here to focus on Grand Bassa because our people are resolved to give us the votes that will lead us to victory come October 10, 2023, we are here to focus on every man, woman, boy and girl of Liberia,” she added.

She disclosed on a daily basis when she drives in the streets of Monrovia, she sees the women of Liberia and girls selling all over and they are ready to fix this Country.

“We are here for the over 300,000 Liberian children who the Ministry of Gender reported few weeks ago that are living in the streets of Monrovia and other parts of Liberia that is why we are here today to help fix this country”.

She averred Liberians are suffering, and the Economy of the country has broken down to the extent that Liberians don’t really have the means of providing food for their families, noting, “when you drive from the streets of Monrovia the only thing that can welcome you are hills of dirt.”

Cllr. Brumskine spoke on Thursday June 22, 2023, when she led a team of partisans of the CPP and executives to complete her Candidate Nomination process that opened on June 14, 2023, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville by the National Elections Commission.
