IPNEWS: The impact of Liberia’s civil crisis is still visible across the Country especially so when hunger, homelessness, and hardship are now the order of the day.

The residue of the crisis should now be the concern of the society mainly with thousands of suffering orphans across the Country still feeling pinched.

With the desire and commitment to serve humanity, there are few Liberians with passion who are helping future leaders (children ) despite their current conditions in society.

In the wake of the pressing challenges confronting the Country, there are few Liberians who have mustered the courage and are giving back to society through humanity.

Under the canopy of the group, Second Chance Foundation for Better Future, the orphanage home located in the Chicken Soup Factory Community is taking Care of about sixty-four kids.

Established after the civil crisis, the group is mentoring future leaders, restoring their hopes, serving humanity, and as well giving back to society.

Currently, according to the proprietress Tina Sahah, the orphanage home is barely surviving by the Grace of God.

She named feeding, shelter, and lodging as major challenges affecting their current situation.

“At times, when the children get sick, it can be really hard for us, school fees and materials for them is also another big challenge we experience on a daily basis”, she narrated.

Taking a guided tour of the challenged facility of the Second Chance Foundation For Better Future, there need for urgent attention cannot be over-emphasized as room leakages, broken beds, lack of feet wears, and clothing and mattresses among others were all visible.

As for the Executive Director and founder of the group, Lassana B. Kanneh, he sees their work as a means of contributing to society.

Mr. Kanneh used the occasion to re-echoed calls for timely assistance to the orphanage home in order to empower them to do more.

Meanwhile, the honorees, journalists, Moses Garzeawu, Dennise Nimpson, and Julius Konton all used their life stories as a word of motivation to the orphans.

They named truth-telling, obedience, passion, respect, and discipline among others as keywords that future leaders should use as foundation, inspiration, and instrument if they are to make a greater impact in society tomorrow.
