As Grand Bassa Coucus Meets Soon  Amidst CPP Anticipated Pronouncement

IPNEWS: Jubilation is said to be building up across Grand Bassa County amidst reports late Thursday evening that Charlyne Brumskine is set to be the presumptive nominee for the CPP vice standard bearer position.

IPNEWS Grand Bassa correspondent says the news of the presumptive pick of Charlyne Brumskine by CPP political leader Alexander Cummings has taken the central point of discussions across Grand Bassa county.

Discussions are ongoing at major entertainment spots, Market places, hotels, and the famous Buacanna Beach in the port city of hospitality.

Before this news of her pick, Charlyne Brumskine was poised to contest District No. 3, Buchannan City, Gran Bassa County, Representative seat.

It may be recalled, reports when viral within the last 72hrs of the pick of Henry Yallah of Bong County as the presumptive vice standard bearer of CPP Alexander B. Cummings.

Last week, a report emerged that Grand Bassa Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrwnce turned down a last-minute rush for her vice candidature by CPP political leader Alexander B. Cummings.

Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine, the daughter of late opposition Liberty Party (LP) founding father,  Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine.

In December 2022, the astute young lawyer recently made public her letter of intent to the Liberty Party about her desire to contest the District #3 seat, following which she drummed up massive support from the Bassa people and solicited their presence on several occasions.

“In a quest to support her bid, for this representative seat in District #3, Grand Bassa County, the great people of the county invite you to the endorsement ceremony of their daughter, sister, and friend Charlyne M. Brumskine on Sunday, December 11, 2022, Pavilion Fair Ground, Grand Bassa County. Time: 1 PM,” the organizers announced on the flyers.

Since she declared intent, Charlyne has been receiving a lot of goodwill support from a cross-section of the populace in Grand Bassa County and is said to be picking up some of the pieces where her father left in the polity. She has been frequenting the county, especially District #3 in recent times where information has not confirmed if she will have any competition picking the ticket ahead of any other aspirant within the Liberty Party.

As the electioneering process is fast picking up in the county, no doubt Charlyne will be a factor in the race, and any opponent coming in the race, should be ready to face a herculean task ahead.
