NEC Terminates Temporary Electoral Supervisor Services for Assaulting SPOON Journalist

IPNEWS-Monrovia: The National Elections Commission (NEC) has with immediate effect terminated the services of one of its Temporary Electoral Supervisors, Thomas Bryant for assaulting Spoon Network Communication journalist, Diamond N. Stinger.

In a press statement signed and issued on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 by NEC Deputy Communication Director, Prince Dunbar, the NEC has condemned the physical attack on journalist Stinger and at the same time, the Commission apologizes to the Management and Staff of Spoon Communication Network for the incident which occurred Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the Love Valley Academy, with Code number 30881 located in the Airfield community.

NEC staff prepares for the Biometric Voters’ Registration exercise

NEC reminds all of their temporary staff of its zero-tolerance policy against acts that have the propensity to affect the work and image of the Commission.

The NEC, has meanwhile assures the public that it will not condone any act of violence or assault by its temporary staff neither its permanent staff.
