Pastor Sent To Court for Allegedly Beating Wife

Pastor Roland Wallo of the Cleansing Word Pentecostal Church, on Wednesday February 22, 2023, sent to the Monrovia City Court for allegedly beating his wife Angeline Wallo in the Matadi Community.

Pastor Wallo, was seen on prisoner bench based on a complaint from his wife that she and her husband are legally married but the defendant has purposely and intentionally refused and neglected to provide maintenance and support for his wife.

The defendant Wallo was charged with Persistent Nonsupport, Domestic Violence, Menacing and Disorderly Conduct.

According to the Writ of Arrest, the defendant is in constant habit of beating and inflicting serious bodily pains on the complainant, Mrs. Angeline Wallo and rain insults on her publicly to cause her in serious public inconvenience and annoyance.

The writ further stated that the alleged act of the defendant being unlawful, illegal and intentionally, is in violation of Section 14.25, 17.3 & 16.5 of the New Penal Law of Liberia.

“You are hereby commanded to arrest the living body of defendant Roland Wallo to answer to the charges against him,” the court ordered.
