–Family Members Call for Full-scale Investigation

Victor Sabu Yenglee, a promising athlete who was part of the Nimba County Team that won the 2023 National County Sports Meet, late Tuesday, February 7, 2023 evening was gruesomely murdered because he alleged accused in an Arm Robbery scandal.
Sabu, was brutally murdered by an angry crowd on an alleged suspicion of “armed Robbery” that he along with two others accordingly carried out at the home of one Harris Kerkula at the Gleneyeeluu community, Ganta.
It was reported that his two associates escaped the scene before he (Sabu) was apprehended and subsequently beaten to death by an angry crowd.
However, up to press time, it has not been established as to how the alleged “armed robbery” was detected by the crowd and what the deceased attempted to take away.
It can be recalled on December 30, 2022, at 5 pm, a money exchanger Matthew Yeanay was attacked and shot by a raffle in plain sight by men believed to be armed robbers and made away with L$1,090,000.00 along with US$5,000.00 respectively.
Catherine Cooper, also a petty trader was hijacked barely a week ago by individuals believed to be armed robbers and made away with thousands of Liberian dollars.
Meanwhile, Football fanatics as well as close family members and associates of Victor Sabu Yenglee are raising doubts, as they claim the deceased had no such character throughout his life.
They are calling on the police to launch a full-scale investigation into the matter to establish the root cause of their relative’s death.
Ganta with a population of nearly 100.000 has only a police station along with one sub-deport.
