The Paynesville Magisterial Court recently issued a Writ of Arrest for Cllr. Aloysius T. Jappah, who is wanted by the Court for reportedly receiving US$4,950 to purchase a car for the Private Prosecutrix, Suah C. Mulbah.

Cllr. Jappah has been charged for the alleged criminal charges of Theft of Property by Deception and Felonious Restraint.

The Writ of Arrest, of which a copy is in possession of the Independent Probe Newspapers (IPNEWS) indicated that Cllr. Aloysius T. Jappah is accused of allegedly impressing upon Suah C. Mulbah (Private Prosecutrix) to purchase a car (Chevrolet 2014 SUV) from the USA and received US$4,950 since May 2022.

According to the Writ of Arrest, when the car was brought to Liberia, Cllr. Jappah allegedly took possession of the car and has since deprived her after receiving US$4,950 from the Private Prosecutrix.

However, the return of the Sheriff’s revealed that Cllr. Jappah allegedly resisted arrest and insulted the Court’s Sheriff.

According to the Sheriff returns, states “This Writ of arrest was served on defendant Cllr Aloysius T. Jappah at his residence, after serving him, he told us to get out of his porch and insulted us right in front of the Plaintiff and shut his door. We tried knocking again, so we could talk to him, but he refused and told us to get out.”

The document of the court stated “Since May 2022 at 10:00 AM on 24th Street in Sinkor, you the named defendant impressed on the mind of the private prosecutor to purchase a car (Chevrolet 2014 SUV) from the U.S.A. and received US$4,950″.

“But to the dismay of the private Prosecutrix, after said car was bought down to Liberia, you the defendant have refused to give the car despite making efforts but to no avail.”

The documents said, the act the defendant Jappah, did do and committed is in gross violation of statutes controlling the New Penal Law of Liberia.
