Fassama Commissioner Flomo Allegedly Rapes 14-yr-old Girl

–Sent To Court, Jailed for Alleged Rape

The Belle District Commissioner of Fassama Township in Gbarpolu County, Jeremiah Flomo, has been forwarded to the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice. He was forwarded on Friday December 9, 2022, for allegedly raping a 14-year of girl in Jah Tondo Town in Brewerville, Montserrado County.

Defendant Flomo was arrested on November 28, 2022, for his alleged involvement into committing the crime of Gang Rape. The act of the defendant is in violation of chapter 14, subchapter D, Section 14.70(2) of the revised Rape Law of the republic of Liberia.

According to the Court documents, the victim is a 14-year old girl who had filed a previous complaint of rape in Gbarpolu County which was investigated and sent to court.

During the investigation of the victim’s previous rape complaint in Gbarpolu County, she was placed into a temporary custody of defendant Jeremiah Y. Flomo, the Commissioner of Belle District in Gbarpolu County.

The police charge sheets said the victim was later brought to Monrovia by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.

Meanwhile, co-defendant Bobby F. Moore who also worked at the Ministry of Gender received the victim on June 24, 2022 and was temporarily living with co-defendant Bobby F. Moore at his residence in Jah Tondo Town in Brewerville.

According to the document, defendant Flomo on several occasions visited the residence of co-defendant Moore while the victim was still there, and it was established that defendant Flomo is a Reverend and an uncle to co-defendant Moore.

The documents pointed out that, while staying with Co-defendant Moore the victim mother Kemah Tokpah visited her daughter (victim) on several occasions.

The charge sheets further indicated the medical report obtained from the redemption hospital, One- Stop-Center, established “Vagina- whitish discharged and multiple healed tear seen as a result of penetration caused by blunt object, Anus/Rectum multiple healed tear seen as a result of penetration caused by blunt objects and MTT negative.”

During the investigation, the victim said defendant Flomo inserted his penis into her vagina while she was temporarily living with co-defendant Moore at Jah Tondo Town in Brewerville during the month of September 2022.

The victim also narrated to the investigation, that she was sexually abused while temporarily living with defendant Flomo in Fassama Township, Gbarpolu County in 2021 where she previously complaint of rape and the matter was under investigation. The victim said based on that she was bought to Monrovia on June 24, 2022 by the coordinator of the Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection. After she had been received by co-defendant Moore who also worked with the Gender Ministry, according to the victim, defendant Flomo had sexual intercourse with her while there on separate unspecified dates in August 2022 within the bed room of the Co-defendant.

She explained that she was living with her mother Kemah Tokpah in Gbarpolu county, and was sexually abused by a boy name John P. Korwolla, indicating that she was coerced by the defendant to accuse her mother Kemah Tokpah and Junior of Gang Rape, which she did and they were charged and forwarded to court on the crime of Gang Rape.
