By Taisiah K.Merfee

IPNEWS: The Chairman of Team Cummings 2023, Ambassador Lewis G. Brown, has warned the Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson Koijee, of huge consequences if he tries to unleash thugs on peaceful citizens for the ‘We Ta-Ha Suffering’ protest march expected to take place at the Samuel K. Doe, Sports Complex, on December 17, 2022.

Ambassador Brown insisted that December 17, ‘Peaceful Rally’ will go ahead as planned and warned Koijee to stay clear of that vicinity

Speaking at a news conference at the CPP head office on Tuesday hours after some thugs believed to be supporters of the CDC, and allegedly sanctioned by the Mayor of the City of Monrovia Monday night, when Amb. Brown had gone as studio gust of Voice of Liberia Radio Station when he came under attack by some young men.

The former Liberia Ambassador to the United Nations stated that what happened Monday night was unacceptable, especially to see young people being used by Mayor Koijee to cause harm because he has spoken against ills in the Liberian Society.

“You cannot stop me from doing what I want to do for the Liberian people. The people are suffering and they will join ranks with us on December 17 to tell the government of Liberia that enough is enough!”

“I want to be clear Mr. President this needs to stop! Please tell your people to stay out of this peaceful Rally”.

“Trying to kill me will not stop us from doing or talking about the issues that affect the librarian people the people will come out in their numbers on that day.” Lewis Brown stated.

The former National Security Advisor said what happened Monday night was done on the order of the City Mayor of Monrovia in continuation of the July 26, 2022, event at the front of the US Embassy in Monrovia.

“Little Koijee be warned your job is to clean the various streets of Monrovia which you had abundant only because you heard that Lewis Brown is with Cummings, and you feel intermediate, but this is just the beginning for you and the CDC government”. Lewis Brown vowed.

Speaking further, Brown said on December 17 , 2022, the Liberian people will come to tell President Weah and officials that they are suffering, and they need a new leader that can and insisted that nothing can stop him and the CPP from doing that.

The former information Boss then used the occasion to tell the CDC and its members that they are going to use the SKD outside the facility for that day and nothing will change them from using it because they had paid for it already.

According to him, this is the time around the Liberian people will demand accountability from the government and there are some ways they can do it and they will come out on that, but they will be very peaceful as they had been doing it.

The tough-talking Brown said he cannot be moved by one little-known Jefferson Koijee because he had led major Protests in the history of Liberia under the NPFL government and nothing happens to him.

As far as I am concerned only two groups of people this Rally those who are suffering and the one who is enjoying only those who are suffering will come out the librarian people need men, not boys who will only sit but those that will stand for the cause.
