The Executive Director of Feeding Liberia (FELA), Inc., NGO, Mr. Josephus M.C. Freeman, has called on all his friends and well-wishers, humanitarians, philanthropists and other charitable organizations to help sponsor at least thirty (30) needy children back to school through scholarship initiatives at the FELA Academy School System located opposite Dry Rice Market in Barnesville.

Mr. Freeman who is also the Founder and principal of the FELA Academy School System, an institution owned and operated by Feeding Liberia (FELA), Inc., NGO, is a Non-political and Non- for profit organization that is registered and recognized in Liberia, says taking into consideration the harsh economic situations that lot of Liberian parents are faced with, has led many children out of school.

As such, he is calling on all friends and well-wishers, humanitarian, philanthropists and others charitable organizations to help sponsor a child back in school at a cost of 100USD or its equivalent in Liberia dollars as yearly fees. The 100 USD is for school requirements like: uniform, ID card, medical first aid, Field trips, feeding and PE outfits.

He said, “initially, we had started lobbying for at least fifty (50) students from the beginning, and now twenty (20) students have already been covered and therefore, we are still lobbying for the balance thirty (30) students now.”

The Executive Director however averred that the FELA Academy School System currently has two campuses or branches.

One is located opposite Dry Rice Market in Barnesville, and the other one is on Peace Island in Paynesville, and also runs tuition-free programs for disadvantaged children and youths within their various community.

Making the passionate call on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at a P.T.A meeting held at FELA Academy School, Dry Rice Market campus as part of his birthday celebration, Mr. Freeman encourages parents to consider the fact that the first requirement in Life after God is life itself. And life exists in the confines of time that cannot be disputed by any philosophy; and if that is true, then Time is very cardinal to man especially the day one was born.

Therefore, parents should also considered Time as one of the requirements in their efforts of educating their children, because when children are given the opportunity to be educated in time, it is not only for their personal benefits, but for the benefit of the society that they find themselves within.
