Expedited Evacuation: Samuel Tweah, Wife, Others On Charter Flight Into Ankara, Turkey

IPNEWS: The authoritative Independent Probe Newspaper has gathered that Liberia’s Finance and Development Minister, Samuel D. Tweah, and his wife along with three others are in Ankara, Turkey, for advanced medical treatment.

Sources closed the finance minister, hinted that Samuel Tweah and entourage departed Liberia, early Monday morning at about 6:00 A.M., on board a chartered flight into Ghana and thereafter into Ankara, Turkey.

“Samuel Tweah, is in a more stable state, yet with some pains in his left arm. As for his wife, she is in a critical position, along with the driver, and are hoping things improve. IPNEWS gathered that there was overnight coordination throughout Sunday night by Foreign Minister, Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr, with Passport Director and other Foreign Ministry officials for passport arrangement of Tweah’s driver and one security which led to delay for emergency evacuation until early hours of Monday, morning.

It may be recalled, Liberia’ s Finance and Development Planning Minister Samuel D. Tweah and his wife along with two bodyguards, and a driver were involved in a near-fatal motor accident along the Lofa-Gbarnga highway early Sunday morning. The minister was returning from the 5th graduation ceremony at the Lofa Community College where he served as the guest speaker before the accident occurred.

Sources at the Phebe Hospital in Suacoco, Bong County, hinted IPNEWS that the vehicle in which the Minister, his wife along with their bodyguards were riding somersaulted and was left damaged before being transferred to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Monrovia.
