Construction of Bali Island’s Access Road Kicks Off

IPNEWS The Government of Liberia (GOL), through the Ministry of Public Works, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, mobilized the contractor, Qjoe, for the timely construction of the access road leading to Bali Island.

The 3.34-kilometer stretch spans from Battery Factory’s intersection along the Japan Freeway to Bali Island.

Addressing cross-sections of residents in the area, Public Works Minister, Ruth Coker-Collins, expressed satisfaction and rallied the locals to support the road project, noting that the construction of the access road is crucial to the overall modernization plan of Bali Island.

The development of Bali Island into a state-of-the-art conference center, as envisaged by President George Weah, will mark a watershed moment in Liberia.

Pundits continue to hold the proposition that the Bali Island modernization plan will not only complement the urban aesthetics of the city but will also help greatly in connecting several communities, including 12th Street, Sinkor, to Battery Factory.
